Job Summary

Master Technology Group is seeking a highly skilled Data Infrastructure Technician to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of data infrastructure and low-voltage cabling and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, terminate, label, and test copper and fiber optic cabling
  • Utilize and understand various test equipment, including data/fiber cable analyzers
  • Install and maintain cable support hardware, including anchoring and attachment components
  • Identify cable paths and relay site survey information to project managers
  • Assemble and install equipment racks and cabinets
  • Build out data centers and equipment rooms, including racks, cabinets, ladder racking, basket tray, and cable management
  • Install grounding hardware and wiring in data centers and equipment rooms
  • Mount and hook up customer equipment in data centers and equipment rooms, including switches, routers, servers, SAN, PDUs, and WLAN equipment
  • Perform outside plant work, including burial and aerial
Requirements
  • High school graduate (minimum) plus substantial related experience
  • Power Limited Technician License
  • Familiarity with BICSI-recommended installation practices
  • Familiarity with all NFPA, NEC, and OSHA codes and standards
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling systems and practical field experience
  • Ability to work at heights of 3-40 ft
  • Ability to pass a drug test in a drug-free workplace setting
  • Clean-cut appearance
  • Ability to work nights when necessary
  • Some travel may be required
  • Valid driver's license with dependable transportation
