Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Mercy. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing specialized MRI procedures on patients, resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist. You will also provide patient care essential to these procedures and apply principles of MR safety.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI procedures on patients, ensuring accurate and high-quality images
  • Provide patient care and support during procedures, including positioning and comfort
  • Apply principles of MR safety to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest MRI technology and techniques, and participate in ongoing education and training
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology
  • Minor nursing skills
  • Certified by A.R.R.T. in Radiography
  • ARRT Advanced Level certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging or working towards certification
  • BLS - Basic Life Support
Preferred Qualifications
  • ARRT (R) (MR) or eligible
