A professional services firm in New Jersey is currently seeking an experienced Tax professional to join their staff as their new Tax Analyst / Sr. Tax Analyst.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing and reviewing federal, state & local income tax returns
  • Preparing consolidated and standalone corporate federal and state income tax returns for assigned clients
  • Conducting federal and state tax research and draft/review memorandums to support tax return filing positions and special projects
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of Corporate income tax Preparation experience working in either a corporate tax department or professional services environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or a related field
  • Demonstrate understanding of ASC 740 and ability to prepare income tax accrual calculations
  • Demonstrate understanding of tax return filing requirements for foreign operations
  • Experience with Corporate Tax Preparation software
  • Microsoft Excel proficient
  • Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized

Desired Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Corptax, ONESOURCE, or GoSystem RS
  • Knowledge of online tax research tools (CCH, RIA, BNA)
