Job Summary

As an Ultrasound Specialist PRN at Sun View Imaging, you will be responsible for performing clinical diagnostic ultrasound procedures as ordered by physicians. Your expertise will be essential in positioning patients, selecting the correct transducer, and adjusting technical factors to obtain high-quality images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to pre-determined protocols set forth by radiologists.
  • Position patients appropriately and select the correct transducer for each examination.
  • Adjust technical factors to optimize image quality and label images correctly.
  • Schedule patients as needed and explain procedures to ensure cooperation and optimal test results.
  • Perform biopsy and interventional procedures competently and independently.
  • Maintain ultrasound service in accordance with Radiology Department guidelines and perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established protocols.
  • Report repair problems promptly to the ultrasound supervisor and maintain proper records, including Radiologist worksheets and reports.
  • Follow departmental directives and participate in Radiology services Process Improvement, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and MQSA activities as required.
Requirements
  • 2 years of clinical experience in ultrasound in an acute care setting.
  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Current ARDMS or ARRT(S) and State Registry.
