Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Sun View Imaging. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures as ordered by physicians, utilizing correct transducers and adjusting technical factors as needed.
  • Position patients appropriately, obtain adequate images, and label images correctly.
  • Schedule patients as necessary and explain procedures to ensure patient cooperation and optimal test results.
  • Perform biopsy and interventional procedures competently, independently, and without supervision.
  • Maintain ultrasound service in accordance with Radiology Department guidelines and perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to pre-determined protocols.
  • Properly utilize existing equipment, report repair problems promptly, and maintain proper records, including Radiologist worksheets and reports.
  • Participate in Radiology services Process Improvement, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and MQSA activities as required.
  • Conform to and participate in all mandated and/or voluntary programs of the Radiology services to comply with JCAHO, DHS, and regulatory agency requirements.
Requirements
  • 2 years of clinical experience in ultrasound in an acute care setting.
  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Current ARDMS or ARRT(S) and State Registry.
