Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Specialist to join our team at United Surgical Partners. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing clinical diagnostic ultrasound procedures, positioning patients, and selecting the correct transducer to obtain high-quality images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound procedures as ordered by physicians
  • Position patients appropriately and select the correct transducer
  • Adjust technical factors to optimize image quality
  • Schedule patients as needed and explain procedures to ensure cooperation and optimal test results
  • Perform biopsy and interventional procedures competently and independently
  • Maintain ultrasound service according to Radiology Department guidelines and perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to pre-determined protocols
  • Responsible for proper equipment utilization and reporting repair problems promptly
  • Maintain proper records, including Radiologist worksheets and prepare reports as needed
  • Follow departmental directives and participate in Radiology services Process Improvement, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and MQSA activities
Requirements
  • 2 years of clinical experience in ultrasound in an acute care setting
  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification
  • Current ARDMS or ARRT(S) and State Registry certification
