Job Description

As a Construction Project Manager with Michael Page, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process of multifamily units. Your primary goal will be to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning: Review plans and specifications with the project manager, develop and maintain project schedules, and plan and organize job site logistics.
  • Cost Control: Control costs related to general conditions, approve all subcontractor draws and invoices, and approve all field expenses with the project manager.
  • Project Administration: Produce daily activity reports through construction management software, monitor and update project schedules, provide direction and coordination to subcontractors, and maintain as-built drawings.
  • Relations & Leadership: Foster a cooperative and informative relationship among the construction team, develop a team work atmosphere with subcontractors, ensure working relationships with management teams, and address all concerns and issues promptly.
  • Safety & Risk Management: Monitor and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, maintain construction sites in strict accordance with OSHA guidelines, conduct weekly on-site safety meetings with subcontractors, and identify and correct any safety violations.
  • Field Operations: Assemble teams to assist in oversight of on-site activities, monitor construction progress and compliance with plans and specifications, and conduct on-site meetings with subcontractors.
  • Associate Development: Provide training, guidance, and career development for subordinates, offer constructive feedback, evaluation, and praise, and act as a role model and mentor.

Requirements:

  • Education: A 4-year college degree is preferred, but not mandatory. A Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Building Science or Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5-10 years of previous work experience as a project superintendent with a multifamily construction contractor.
  • Attendance: This position is exempt from overtime. It is scheduled for a typical 40-hour workweek, but demands can be great, and the associate should expect to work significantly more hours.
