Job Overview

The Bartender at Silver Gulch is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring a memorable experience for every guest who visits our establishment in Fox, Alaska. Your role is crucial in maintaining the quality of our beverages and providing a welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding service to every guest.
• Greet patrons promptly and courteously.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas visible to guests, including workstations and bar surfaces.
• Obtain necessary certifications, including an Alaska food handlers card and a TAPs card, adhering to all alcohol service regulations.
• Prepare and serve drinks according to established recipes and guidelines.
• Ensure the bar is stocked with garnishes, supplies, and glassware.
• Manage the beer cooler and keep it organized and clean.
• Utilize the Squirrel POS system for processing payments accurately.
• Follow cash-out procedures and verify all transactions.
• Comply with the Silver Gulch Dress Code and Service Standards.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Current Food Handlers Card and reliable transportation.
• Good hygiene and well-groomed appearance.

Skills Required

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Candidates should be able to:

• Read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Write routine reports and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Apply common sense to solve problems and follow instructions.

Physical Requirements

Employees must be able to:

• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to varying temperatures.
• Complete shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours.
