Job Overview
The Bartender at Silver Gulch is a key representative of our brand, committed to delivering exceptional customer service. Your role is to ensure that every guest enjoys the finest beverages, food, and overall experience that Silver Gulch Brewing & Bottling has to offer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding service to all guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Promptly greet and attend to each customer.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas, including the bar and prep stations.
- Acquire and maintain an Alaska food handlers card.
- Obtain a TAPs card and adhere to all state alcohol regulations, including checking IDs and responsible serving practices.
- Restock the bar with necessary supplies, garnishes, and beverages.
- Ensure the beer cooler is stocked and maintained.
- Follow proper hygiene and handwashing protocols.
- Utilize the squirrel POS system for order processing and payment handling.
- Adhere to cash-out procedures and verify all transactions.
- Check out with a manager before concluding your shift.
- Comply with the Silver Gulch Dress Code and Service Standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Current Food Handlers Card and reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Mathematical skills to handle transactions and calculations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and maintain stamina for shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours. The work environment may include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
Employment Status: Hourly/Nonexempt
