Cross Country Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cross Country Team Leader to join our team at Tacoma Public Schools. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated coach to lead our middle school cross country program and work with students to develop their athletic skills.
Responsibilities- Supervise student athletes to promote effective learning through participation in athletic activities.
- Plan, develop, and implement a comprehensive cross country program that prepares athletes physically and mentally for competition.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive team environment.
- Maintain accurate records and files, including injury reports and equipment inventory.
- Participate in district and building athletic meetings as required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in education, sports management, or a related field.
- Minimum two years of experience as an assistant coach or similar role.
- First Aid Certificate and CPR card required.
- Ability to motivate students, exercise fairness, and conduct oneself in an ethical manner.
- Knowledge of building, district, and WIAA policies, regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $33,565 based on a 10-month contract. The salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
