Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in preparing and compounding medications, maintaining patient records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and compound medications under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, adhering to strict USP 797 guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication profiles and treatment plans.
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing prescriptions, gathering pharmaceuticals, and staging products for checking.
  • Program and double-check IV pump settings for accuracy prior to delivery.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to patient inquiries and concerns.
  • Collaborate with insurance providers and medical providers to ensure seamless billing and follow-up.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest USP 797 guidelines and departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • State pharmacy technician licensure in the state employed.
  • National certification within 12 months of employment.
  • Compounding pharmacy technician experience, preferably with sterile IV preparation.
  • Excellent customer service, math, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to work full-time, regular daytime hours, and occasional on-call shifts.
