Patient Service Coordinator

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative to provide exceptional patient service and satisfaction in our clinical team. This individual will support all staff members and patients in the office, answering phones, handling inquiries, making appointments, and assisting with treatment plans. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors by greeting, scheduling appointments, and addressing inquiries and phone calls.
- Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere by acknowledging, smiling, and greeting patients upon arrival and dismissal.
- Demonstrate responsiveness by promptly addressing patient questions and concerns in alignment with DCA Policies.
- Answer telephones and schedule appointments.
- Maintain appointment books and confirm appointments.
- Follow up on no shows/cancellations of appointments.
- Register patients on sign-in sheets.
- Post charges and payments to patient accounts.
- Check voice-mail on a daily basis.
- Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dental, medical, or other healthcare office is highly valued.
- Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is a plus.
- Experience answering telephones is required.
- Exceptional customer service skills are essential for success in this role.
