Overview

Westchester Jewish Community Services is seeking a skilled Clinician to join our Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) in Peekskill, NY. As a valued member of our team, you will work closely with a Peer Specialist and co-respond alongside local police departments to deliver mobile crisis services in conjunction with the Peekskill, Buchanan, Cortland, Croton-on-Hudson, and Yorktown police departments.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health, 988, and catchment area Police Departments to deliver services to individuals in mental health crisis.
  • Provide de-escalation, assessment, and referral services to help clients live safely and prevent future crisis.
  • Participate in a cohesive team comprised of licensed clinicians, Peer Specialists, student interns, and administrative assistants.
  • Follow up with clients up to 2 weeks after crisis response to link them to appropriate services.
Requirements
  • Valid New York state LMSW (can work toward LCSW hours) or LMHC required.
  • NYS Driver's License required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Experience with community-based services a plus.
  • Crisis intervention and response skills are beneficial.
  • Strong work ethic - must work well independently and within a team environment, plus across systems.
  • Ability to collaborate and build/foster relationships with community partners, including police departments.
  • Strong verbal communication and written skills.
