Job Summary

The Salvation Army USA Southern Territory is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Store Clerk & Warehouse Worker to join our team. As a Store Clerk & Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers in purchasing items from our store, including collecting monies, counting change, and preparing receipts.
  • Operate a cash register, prepare and balance the cash drawer, and run routine register printouts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the warehouse area.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and sorting donations, as well as moving donations and other materials into the warehouse.
  • Perform routine maintenance on our Salvation Army truck, including checking fluid levels and providing repair work as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of experience in sorting, receiving, storing, loading, and unloading of materials in a warehouse or store setting.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, supplies, and equipment frequently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
