Job Summary

CARTI is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Services Technician to join our team. As an Environmental Services Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Deliver high-quality service to our customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail and responding to their needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Respond to Housekeeping Issues: Promptly respond to calls for housekeeping issues and resolve them in a efficient and effective manner.
  • Contribute to Team Efforts: Work collaboratively with our team to achieve our goals and objectives, and maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
  • Clean and Maintain Facilities: Clean and maintain all areas of the facility, including offices, bathrooms, lavatories, halls, food service areas, patient service areas, and any other areas that require attention.
  • Dispose of Trash and Replenish Supplies: Dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with prescribed guidelines, and replenish paper and plastic products as needed.
  • Move Furniture and Equipment: Move furniture, supplies, and equipment as needed to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Operate Equipment: Operate equipment such as vacuum cleaners and other cleaning equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Maintain Equipment and Wear Protective Clothing: Maintain equipment and wear protective clothing as required by the work environment or safety regulations.
  • Train and Communicate with Staff: Train workers engaged in cleaning and maintaining the premises, and communicate daily with applicable CARTI staff on cleaning and scheduling.
  • Complete Daily Task Sheets: Complete daily task sheets to ensure that all tasks are completed and recorded accurately.
  • Respond to Guest Queries: Respond to guest queries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Travel to Clinics: Travel to clinics for general cleaning as requested by management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Current Valid Arkansas Driver's License: A current valid Arkansas driver's license is required.
  • Minimum of One Year Housekeeping Experience: A minimum of one year housekeeping experience is preferred, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Reasoning Ability
  • Solve Practical Problems: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Interpret Instructions: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
Interpersonal Skills
  • Verbal and Written Communication: Must interact and communicate both verbally and in written form.
  • Confidentiality: Must interact and exchange information regarding patients with physicians and other departmental personnel, and outside agencies on a frequent basis while respecting the confidentiality of patient information.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly Required to Talk or Hear: The employee regularly is required to talk or hear.
  • Regularly Required to Stand, Walk, Sit: The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequent Pushing and Pulling: This position also may require frequent pushing and pulling of heavy objects and the ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Close Vision and Ability to Adjust Focus: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment

This position involves potential exposure to infectious diseases. Colleagues are offered appropriate vaccinations and safety training.
