About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled e-Builder Systems Support Specialist to join our team at American Water. As a key member of our engineering function, you will provide project management information system (PMIS) e-Builder support and guidance to planning engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive training program to support e-Builder PMs and ensure compliance with annual refresher training.
  • Manage ongoing communications with users across the business and work cross-functionally to ensure capital efficiency and excellence.
  • Manage and validate system access, including to approved outside parties, and provide feedback and training to improve understanding and execution of proper processes and workflows within the PMIS system of record (eBuilder).
  • Resolve issues in a timely manner and develop business requirements and support development of system enhancements in support of a self-serve model.
  • Manage e-Builder System Specific Responsibilities, including project setup, user provisioning, onboarding and training of new users, user technical support, managing reports and folder subscriptions, and educating the AW user base regarding any new e-Builder functionality and product enhancements.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in report writing and presentations.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including persuasion, negotiation, listening, cooperation, tact, diplomacy, problem solving, and internal consulting.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, organizing, directing, monitoring, and reporting on project activities, managing concurrent projects.
  • Strong knowledge of e-Builder or related PMIS tools, working knowledge of construction industry methodology, terminology, workflow/paper flow of planning, design, and construction activities, and demonstrated knowledge of contract documents and specifications.
  • Intermediate level experience with computerized systems, database management, and spreadsheet and word-processing programs to manipulate data and create reports.
  • Strong knowledge of computer software, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2 years' experience in business system support, with experience in business system support duties, utility experience preferred.
Work Environment

Primarily indoor office environment, with occasional travel requirements up to 10%.
