About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled E-Builder Systems Support Specialist to join our team at American Water. As a key member of our engineering function, you will provide project management information system (PMIS) support and guidance to planning engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive training program for e-Builder PMs, including compliance management of annual refresher training.
  • Manage ongoing communications with users across the business.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure capital efficiency and excellence across capital project management activities delivered by state operating company teams.
  • Manage and validate system access, including to approved outside parties.
  • Provide feedback and training to improve understanding and execution of proper processes and workflows within the PMIS system of record (e-Builder).
  • Resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop business requirements and support development of system enhancements in support of a self-serve model.
  • Manage e-Builder system-specific responsibilities, including project setup, user provisioning, onboarding, and technical support.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including persuasion, negotiation, listening, cooperation, tact, diplomacy, problem-solving, and internal consulting.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, organizing, directing, monitoring, and reporting on project activities.
  • Strong knowledge of e-Builder or related PMIS tools.
  • Working knowledge of the construction industry, including methodology, terminology, workflow, and paper flow of planning, design, and construction activities.
  • Intermediate-level experience with computerized systems, database management, and spreadsheet and word-processing programs to manipulate data and create reports.
  • Strong knowledge of computer software, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a bachelor's degree preferred. Two years of experience in business system support is also required, with experience in business system support duties and utility experience preferred.

Work Environment

This role will be primarily based in an indoor office environment, with occasional travel requirements up to 10%.
