Job Summary

RAND is seeking an experienced Audiovisual Specialist to provide technical support for conferences, board meetings, and outreach events in our Washington office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audiovisual technology and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with event coordinators to produce on-site and multi-site events
  • Operate and maintain a wide range of audiovisual equipment, including video conferencing systems, projection systems, and audio systems
  • Oversee AV system installations, including vendor coordination and system testing
  • Provide basic video shooting and audio/video post-production services
  • Manage AV equipment inventory and maintenance logs
  • Develop and maintain accurate system and event setup drawings and diagrams
  • Set up and strike event equipment and furniture
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and evaluate their suitability for our events
Requirements
  • AVIXA CTS or CTS-I certification required; candidates without certification may have up to 1 year to obtain it after hire
  • Knowledge of basic video shooting and audio/video post-production services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Visio
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • May require occasional travel
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year related experience; 3 years preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred
  • Current possession of a U.S. security clearance, or the ability to obtain one
