Overview

We are seeking a skilled Central Telemetry Monitor Technician to join our team at Lovelace Women's Hospital in Albuquerque, NM.

About the Role

This is a day shift, full-time position that requires a high level of attention to detail and strong analytical skills. As a Central Telemetry Monitor Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring patient status through assessment of ECG strips and arrhythmia interpretation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced ECG monitoring and troubleshoot potential issues with monitoring equipment.
  • Identify and respond to potentially life-threatening rhythm changes, initiate codes, and record rhythms during codes.
  • Continuously monitor EKG readings with accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias.
  • Respond appropriately to all monitor alarms.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Telemetry Certification or ability to obtain certification
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • CBO; Medical Terminology
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree in a related field
  • One (1) year of experience in a specialty area, with rhythm recognition skills
