Job Title: Director of Finance

RxLogix is a global leader in pharmacovigilance solutions, providing innovative software and expert consulting services. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join our team in Miami, FL.

Job Summary:

The Director of Finance will be responsible for the overall financial management, business planning, and budgeting of the organization. This role requires strategic thinking and hands-on leadership to manage the financial operations, ensure long-term financial stability, and support the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the company's financial strategy to support its business goals and growth objectives.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, including long-term financial planning and forecasting.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO, President, and the executive team to guide decision-making.
  • Assess and manage financial risks and opportunities for the company.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage the company's capital structure, including equity, and cash management.
  • Analyze financial data to identify key drivers of business performance and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports to the CEO, President, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead financial modeling and analysis for new business initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of internal controls to protect company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits and financial reviews.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Provide direction and support to ensure the team's success in meeting departmental and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to develop financial literacy across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize costs and improve efficiency across the organization.
  • Implement financial systems, processes, and controls to enhance operational efficiency and support the company's growth.
  • Evaluate and manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree in finance is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in a similar industry is a plus.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), or similar financial certifications are highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills. Experience with financial modeling and analysis tools is essential.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams. Ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve organizational goals. Ability to manage the outsourced vendors.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to ethical financial management. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on achieving positive outcomes.
