About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Mercy Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer radionuclide therapy to patients, ensuring safe and effective use of radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine equipment.
  • Prepare, perform quality control, and dispense radiopharmaceuticals for off-hour procedures, adhering to established protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform urgent nuclear medicine procedures in an on-call status or in a single technologist staffing model, prioritizing patient care and safety.
  • Check orders for complete information and proper exam, scheduling exams as needed, and determining whether additional technical support is required.
  • Interact appropriately with patients, care providers, and other team members, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) (required)
  • State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
  • BLS Basic Life Support, American Heart Association (required at hire for Roper St Francis Healthcare locations; preferred at hire, required prior to independent patient care at BSMH)
  • Associate's from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) accredited institute (preferred)
  • 1 year of experience practicing Nuclear Medicine experience (preferred)
