Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Automotive Technology Instructor to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of Automotive Technology, with a focus on providing a high-quality learning experience that prepares students for success in their chosen careers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Mentoring: Develop and deliver engaging and effective instructional materials and methods to teach Automotive Technology courses to a diverse student population.
  • Course Development: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and update curriculum to ensure it is relevant, current, and aligned with industry standards.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and implement assessment and evaluation methods to measure student learning and program effectiveness.
  • Student Support: Provide academic advising, guidance, and support to students to ensure their success and retention in the program.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with industry developments and best practices in Automotive Technology education through ongoing professional development and training.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Automotive Technology or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree with significant experience in the field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a strong background in teaching and mentoring.
  • Certifications: ASE Automobile Master Certification, ASE G-1 Certification, and ASE L-1 Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching Experience: Prior teaching experience in a post-secondary setting, preferably in Automotive Technology.
  • Industry Experience: Significant experience in the automotive industry, with a strong understanding of current technologies and trends.
