Job Title: Nurse Practitioner, Weight Management

Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Center for Weight Management and Wellness. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, and contributing to the development and implementation of clinical programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with weight-related metabolic conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in weight management and related fields.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctoral degree in Nursing (DNP or PhD) from an accredited program.
  • Current certification as an Adult/Geriatric or Family Nurse Practitioner from an accredited certifying body.
  • Valid prescriptive authority from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Federal DEA.
  • Current APRN license to practice in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum 5 years of recent clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a focus on weight management.
  • Clinical experience in nutritional counseling is strongly preferred.
