Job Summary

We are seeking a Full-time Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or a certified Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Hematology, Oncology, and Infusion practice(s) in Boston, Massachusetts. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to provide comprehensive care and plan of care to adult hematology and oncology patients in the outpatient clinic setting.

Responsibilities
  • Engage in comprehensive diagnosis and management of complex hem-onc patients in all spectrums of cancer diagnosis and care.
  • Complete comprehensive histories and physicals of hem-onc patients.
  • Collaborate with supervising/attending physicians, consultants, and members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Initiate orders and implement diagnostic and treatment plans, including intravenous fluids, medications, and transfusions.
  • Perform minor procedures, including bone marrow aspirations and biopsy.
  • Assist with clinic coverage at other Atrius sites as/if needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of nationally accredited, Masters-level Physician Assistant program or a State-approved school of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Possesses/eligible for national certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
  • Possesses/eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • DEA and Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of direct patient care experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse practitioner within a primary care or specialty care setting.
  • Strong preference for experience in hematology/oncology & Infusion.
