POSITION SUMMARY
The role is pivotal in ensuring that every Front End associate delivers prompt, courteous, and effective customer service. This position oversees the entire Front End operations, which includes customer checkout processes, bottle returns, and the maintenance of cleanliness in break rooms, restrooms, and surrounding areas of the store. It is essential to uphold all front end policies and procedures consistently. The individual will assist the Customer Service Manager in communicating and enforcing all company programs among Front End associates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Guarantee the highest standards of customer service and courtesy are maintained at all times.
- Work consistently within the company's 5S efficiency standards.
- Ensure associates engage customers by asking for an AdvantEdge Card.
- Promote a welcoming environment by ensuring associates smile and acknowledge customers at the start and conclusion of each transaction.
- Educate associates on shrink-related items and effective control measures.
- Train and supervise cashiers, bottle return associates, and service clerks.
- Manage scheduling and perform various administrative tasks.
- Maintain cashier controls and security in line with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with cash control measures and over/short policies.
- Oversee supply levels necessary for Front End operations while maintaining expense control.
- Maintain accurate cashier log books for auditing purposes.
- Assist the Customer Service Manager in managing Front End expenses, including payroll and cashier discrepancies.
- Ensure all customer transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, adhering to corporate policies.
- Document pricing errors promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized Front End operation in compliance with sanitation regulations.
- Ensure merchandising racks are well-stocked and orderly.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management, adhering to all company policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess satisfactory performance reviews, and demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask. Candidates should have the capability to manage others effectively and communicate clearly. Basic literacy and computer skills are required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A High School Diploma or equivalent is necessary, along with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position may require exposure to cold and hot environments, frequent standing, walking, and bending, as well as occasional lifting of weights up to 75 lbs. Candidates should be prepared for repetitive motions and the need to push or pull heavy items.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
Commonly used equipment includes phones, computer applications, calculators, registers, and cleaning tools.
