Apex Engineering Group is seeking a Lead Engineer for our Water Group. In this pivotal role, you will manage a team of engineers and technical staff, guiding water resource initiatives from inception to execution. Your leadership will be crucial in driving project success, mentoring junior engineers, and participating in business growth efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engineering solutions encompassing planning, design, and project oversight.
  • Engage in effective communication with clients, management, and team members.
  • Participate in meetings, draft proposals, and assist in acquiring new projects.
  • Guide team members, collaborate on interdisciplinary projects, and uphold safety standards.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer License is preferred.
  • 5-15 years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in water resources and stormwater management.
  • Strong skills in project and construction management are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, self-driven with strong interpersonal and organizational capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and work on a computer in standard office conditions.
  • Willingness to work outdoors during the construction season.
  • Capability to stand, walk, and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
