Estamos buscando a un Sr. Asistente General de Nike, Derecho del Trabajo - Américas, que servirá como asesor y consejero para los departamentos de Recursos Humanos y gerentes de negocio en temas de derecho del trabajo.

Buscamos a alguien que pueda proporcionar asesoramiento experto, principiado, pragmático, enfocado en soluciones y comercialmente relevante en derecho del trabajo.

Debes ser un pensador a nivel de empresa con una perspectiva global.

¿Qué trabajarás?

Como nuestro Sr. Asistente General de Nike, Derecho del Trabajo - Américas, servirás como autoridad en materia de derecho del trabajo en todas las áreas, proporcionando asesoramiento oportuno, práctico y enfocado en soluciones a los equipos de Recursos Humanos, Relaciones con Empleados, líderes de negocio y otros socios de negocio sobre una variedad de temas de derecho del trabajo que surjan en ambos segmentos corporativo y de primera línea de la empresa.

Por ejemplo, contrataciones, gestión de desempeño, disciplina, terminaciones, investigaciones internas, problemas de trabajadores contingentes, acomodaciones razonables, permisos de ausencia, cumplimiento de salarios y horas y gestión de riesgos de empleados.

También colaborarás en la selección y manejo de abogados externos para litigios de empleo y liderarás el proceso hasta la resolución.

Coordinarás y supervisarás respuestas a cargos administrativos, cartas de demanda y otros potenciales desacuerdos contra la empresa a través de negociación o mediación.

Proporcionarás asesoramiento y consejo con respecto a cuestiones de cumplimiento legal que afecten a los empleados y ayudarás a desarrollar planes estratégicos para todos los asuntos relacionados con el empleo, incluyendo pero no limitado a políticas, procedimientos, litigios y asuntos previos a la litigación.

¿Con quién trabajarás?

Miembros del equipo de Derecho del Trabajo y Relaciones con Empleados de Nike, reportando directamente al Director Senior, Asistente General de Nike, Derecho del Trabajo - Américas.

El trabajo se referirá a asuntos de derecho del trabajo en todo Estados Unidos, Canadá y América Latina, y colaborarás con otros miembros del Nike Office of General Counsel.

¿Qué traes?

Un título de Juris Doctor de una escuela de derecho acreditada y licencia de estado activa en buen estado, de al menos un Estado Bar de EE. UU. y disposición para comprometerse a ser miembro del Colegio de Abogados del Estado de Oregón.

Al menos 8 años de experiencia en derecho del trabajo en una firma de abogados y/o en casa con un enfoque en las siguientes áreas de especialidad: litigios laborales y de empleo, procedimientos administrativos (estatales o federales), asesoramiento y cuestiones de cumplimiento.

Excelentes habilidades de comunicación - capaz de influir en todos los niveles y en todas las funciones en una organización de matriz compleja.

Capacidad para trabajar de manera eficiente y cumplir plazos en un entorno acelerado y con una carga de casos exigente, y ajustarse a fluctuaciones frecuentes en la carga de trabajo.
