Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a highly skilled Energy Supply Chain Researcher to join our Dynamic & Spatial Systems Analysis Group, Decision Science Department. As a key member of our team, you will work on developing technical solutions to support programmatic goals, applying software engineering principles, and using modeling and simulation to address complex problems across multiple fields.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement computational analysis and modeling tasks to support scientific domains.
- Apply simulation and modeling techniques, including agent-based modeling, system dynamics, and process modeling, to optimize energy supply chain operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test software solutions.
- Analyze and optimize energy supply chain systems, including energy delivery and energy security applications.
- Provide consultation services to teams on applicable technologies, requirement definitions, operations, and testing.
- Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline of STEM from an accredited institution.
- Advanced degree (PhD preferred) and 1+ years industry experience.
- Simulation and modeling experience, including knowledge of techno-economic analysis and life cycle assessment.
