Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct precise horizontal and vertical control surveys.
  • Layout and confirm structural elements, partitions, equipment, paving, and exterior enhancements.
  • Employ advanced field engineering and surveying technologies for accurate project implementation.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts in construction documents proactively.
  • Coordinate project requirements to prevent disruptions and delays.
  • Collaborate with project teams and tradespeople to uphold cost, schedule, and quality benchmarks.
  • Promote a safety culture by engaging in good catch observations, safety discussions, and mentoring.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree in Construction Management, Survey Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in a surveying capacity within commercial construction projects.
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety protocols, blueprint interpretation, and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with surveying instruments, such as Trimble or comparable technology.
  • Experience in laying out concrete foundations, paving, and vertical concrete is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with project teams and tradespeople.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is beneficial.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the employee to meet physical and mental demands to successfully perform essential functions. Duties include frequent sitting, standing, walking, using hands for handling or feeling, reaching with hands and arms, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Most responsibilities are carried out under varying working conditions, including outdoor work in inclement weather, and exposure to elements such as water, dust, dirt, grease, paint fumes, chemicals, and equipment noise and vibration. Regular and predictable attendance is essential, aligning with job site and/or office hours.
