About the Role:
Aeroseal is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our product development process, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and releasing innovative design solutions and products for our construction industry customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop product/system requirements documents and create designs that meet those requirements.
- Design products that meet robust design principles, with a focus on manufacturability and serviceability.
- Develop Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Design Verification Plan (DVP) documents.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and quality engineering teams to develop process documentation, process FMEA, production test tools, control plans, and quality plans.
- Test designs according to the DVP and document results with clear, concise reports.
- Review vendor component technical data sheets, source components, and create new technical drawings and specifications.
- Conduct and support field trials of developed products.
- Build, load, and release Bill of Material structures in conjunction with the manufacturing process.
Requirements:
- BSME or equivalent degree.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a design/release role.
- CAD/CAE proficiency.
- Ability to work in a team setting and individually.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fully fluent/functional with MS Office tools suite.
- Ability to internalize project requirements and deadlines.
