Working Hours: 2:20 PM - 10:30 PM EST

Compensation: Starting at $18.46/hour + $1.00/ Shift Differential = $19.46/hour.

Role Summary:

The Quality Inspector will be responsible for conducting inspections, testing, and releasing both in-process and finished goods. This role involves investigating defects identified during production, performing trace back inspections to isolate potential defective products, and managing any nonconforming materials in a designated quarantine area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sampling, inspections, and testing of products according to established procedures and AQL plans, utilizing both visual inspection and calibrated testing equipment.
  • Authorize the release of acceptable in-process and finished goods for further processing or shipping.
  • Adhere to applicable ISO standards (ISO 15378 and 9001).
  • Review inspection records to ensure product compliance with specifications and proper documentation practices.
  • Maintain samples of finished products and ensure appropriate batch records are filed and scanned as necessary.
  • Manage documentation related to the Quality System using relevant software.
  • Isolate nonconforming products and handle quarantined materials as required.
  • Generate reports for rejections and deviations as needed.
  • Conduct trace back investigations of nonconforming materials and products.
  • Support and promote a Lean manufacturing environment.
  • Comply with all corporate and site-specific regulations, policies, and safety rules.
  • Exhibit reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment testing.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with a mouse and keyboard.
  • Ability to apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Familiarity with SAP commands is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and make informed decisions.
  • Capable of training and guiding others as needed.
  • Proficient in reading and writing in English.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 12 hours per shift.
  • Frequent physical activities including standing, twisting, bending, and reaching.
  • Effective communication with team members during shifts.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions for short durations.
  • Capability to push or pull wheeled objects weighing up to 500 lbs. and lift up to 15 lbs. regularly.
  • Must be able to wear required cleanroom attire.
  • Pass color vision and visual acuity tests.
  • Minimal travel may be required.
