We are currently seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Inspector to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement and uphold quality specifications, testing protocols, and standards for raw materials, in-process items, and finished products, ensuring adherence to customer requirements and regulatory standards.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers, along with other inspection tools, to conduct thorough evaluations.
- Maintain strict control over inspection equipment, ensuring proper documentation and calibration in accordance with established guidelines.
- Interpret technical drawings and work orders, adhering to defined procedures and instructions.
- Conduct certification of company and employee measuring devices against externally certified standards, maintaining accurate records.
- Prepare and document Material Rejection Reports, effectively communicating rejection reasons to relevant personnel.
- Perform inspections and tests as per established work orders and quality plans, documenting results and providing constructive feedback to production teams.
- Assist in training new staff on inspection techniques and quality control processes to ensure compliance with standards.
- Engage in investigations of product defects and customer feedback under the guidance of the Quality Manager.
- High School diploma with additional training in a relevant field.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in quality control within a metalworking environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with Keyence Vision Systems is advantageous.
- Experience with microhardness testing methods is a plus.
- Knowledge of metrology and calibration of measuring equipment.
- Ability to perform various physical activities including lifting, standing, and repetitive motions.
- Close visual acuity for detailed inspections.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
