We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the University of Maryland Faculty Physicians. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with physicians to diagnose and treat patients.
Responsibilities- Provide continuity of patient care by facilitating communication between the healthcare team, patient, and patient's family.
- Coordinate care to ensure quality, effective care, and patient safety.
- Integrate relevant research and best practices into patient care.
- Collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat patients.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Master of Science degree in Nursing with completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
- Registered and currently recorded with the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nurses.
- Certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland.
- Valid state APRN Recognition.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and BLS certification.
- DEA and CDS eligibility.
- CPR certification.
- A minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated ability to promote professionalism through involvement in professional organizations, teaching, research, publishing, and/or certification in area of specialty.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population(s) served.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
