Job Overview

Salary: Competitive based on experience

Witco is seeking dedicated, skilled, and experienced individuals to enhance our Lathe Department. Our facility operates a fleet of 16 CNC Lathes equipped with Okuma and FANUC controls, and we provide a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform set-up, troubleshooting, and adjustments on CNC Lathes and bar feeders with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Proficient in G-Code Programming.
  • Experience with Mill-Turn operations, including 4 & 6 Axis machining.
  • Calculate and configure controls to manage speeds, feeds, coolant flow, and cutting depths.
  • Input, retrieve, or modify programs through command entries.
  • Secure and align fixtures, work holdings, cutting tools, and attachments.
  • Replace standard cutting tools and recalibrate machines to the correct specifications.
  • Adjust basic offsets to ensure part integrity.
  • Identify malfunctions or conditions that are out of tolerance.
  • Maintain tight tolerances, specifically less than .001 inches.
  • Read and interpret blueprints effectively.
  • Understand GD&T principles.
  • Machining experience with various materials.
  • Utilize standard inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and bore gauges.

Possessing personal standard inspection equipment is advantageous. Witco also offers a gauge and tool purchase program to assist our machinists in enhancing their toolsets.

  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Lunch Break: 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM
