Position Overview:

As a Service Bartender at DDC, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and enjoyable beverage experience for our guests. Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will provide efficient and friendly drink service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly and anticipating their needs.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of spirits, wines, cocktails, and the relevant laws governing beverage service.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Train new team members and assist bar backs in their duties.
  • Accurately compute bills and process payments, demonstrating strong mathematical skills.
  • Ensure compliance with legal drinking age regulations and internal controls.
  • Keep the bar area tidy and organized, regularly cleaning surfaces and disposing of waste.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and provide information about food and beverage offerings.
  • Monitor guests to ensure responsible alcohol service and intervene when necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to enhance the overall guest experience.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Previous bartending experience or completion of a bar back training program.
  • Ability to obtain necessary certifications, including Food Handlers and TIPS.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding guest service.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 100 pounds, and working in a high-energy environment. Flexibility in scheduling, including evenings and weekends, is essential.
