Job Title: Team Lead Cath Lab RN

The Lake Havasu Community Health Center LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead Cath Lab RN to join our team. As a key member of our Cath Lab team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of nurses to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality nursing care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the Cath Lab team to ensure efficient patient flow and effective communication with medical providers.
  • Evaluate and improve staff performance, providing corrective measures as needed to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure the overall quality of patient care and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Prepare and assign staff schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet patient needs.
  • Anticipate and coordinate staffing adjustments to ensure adequate coverage during busy shifts and emergency situations.
  • Administer prescribed treatments, medications, and nursing interventions based on patient assessments and plans of care.
  • Remain calm under pressure and effectively delegate staff responsibilities during busy shifts and emergency situations.
  • Ensure an adequate inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Independently evaluate and monitor patient progress and outcomes, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Coach and mentor nurses to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Apply conflict resolution and negotiation skills to resolve disagreements between staff members and maximize team performance.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of previous experience in surgery nursing.
  • Knowledge of nursing staff methods, retention, recruitment, and finance.
  • Proven ability to maintain professional conduct and confidentiality in the care of patients.
  • Previous experience using healthcare data software.
  • Demonstration of basic computer skills.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Willingness and ability to work weekends, weeknights, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience as a Charge Nurse or equivalent leadership in surgery.
  • Previous experience working in an outpatient surgical center.
  • Bachelor's Degree of Nursing (BSN).
  • Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification.
  • Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) certification.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency using Microsoft Office and in-depth knowledge of healthcare data software.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Membership in one or more additional professional organizations relating to the field of nursing.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

This is a physically demanding, high-stress environment that requires exposure to blood and body fluids, sharp instruments, and other devices. The successful candidate must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds and have full range of body motion, including handling and lifting instrument trays.
