Campos EPC is expanding and is in search of a proficient and experienced Geotechnical Engineer. The primary responsibility of the Geotechnical Engineer is to oversee the design and implementation of geotechnical initiatives. The individual will conduct field explorations and investigations, analyze soil laboratory test outcomes, and perform assessments and designs based on geotechnical data and projects. The Geotechnical Engineer will compile and present geotechnical engineering reports to both internal and external stakeholders and may be tasked with managing geotechnical-related projects, including defining the scope, timeline, and budget.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct geotechnical analyses and studies to evaluate potential mitigation strategies for pipeline erosion, landslide, and fault line projects. Offer recommendations for foundations and retaining structures.
  • Plan and execute geotechnical explorations. Carry out necessary calculations and prepare data reports for clients.
  • Develop proposals and establish costs and timelines for investigations.
  • Guide the technical team during field inspection activities.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure timely completion of assigned projects.
  • Assist the Program Manager in the design and assessment of construction documents and projects.
  • Create design drawings and specifications for construction endeavors.
  • Review and endorse geotechnical designs produced by external consultants.
  • Examine construction design proposals and validate geotechnical components.
  • Assess team performance and identify training requirements to achieve performance goals.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Civil Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Engineer II - 3-6+ years of relevant experience. Engineer III - 6-13 years of experience.
  • Previous experience in the natural gas sector.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of industry codes and standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong critical thinking abilities.
  • Capability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Experience in engineering, procurement, and construction projects is advantageous.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications.
  • Ability to foster cooperation from a diverse range of sources, including internal teams and clients.
