Position Overview

We are in search of a dedicated full-time faculty member for the Nurse Education program at our Sussex County location. The selected individual will report directly to the Associate Dean of Nurse Education and Health Care Programs, taking on the responsibility of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all facets of the Nurse Education curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in the development, execution, and assessment of the Nurse Education Program.
  • Contribute to policy-making committees associated with the institution and the Nurse Education Program.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of faculty and staff for the Nurse Education Program.
  • Create course materials and maintain records in accordance with institutional policies.
  • Oversee, mentor, and evaluate student learning experiences.
  • Effectively communicate and clarify the objectives for student clinical practice to nursing service personnel.
  • Stay current in professional practice by engaging in ongoing clinical work, continuing education, professional conferences, research, and scholarly writing.
  • Involve in student nurse organizations and provide advisement as necessary.
  • Participate in college and community-related initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Dean.
  • Assist in orienting new faculty members.
Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in nursing is mandatory; a Doctorate is preferred.
  • A valid New Jersey RN License is essential.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience in a relevant specialty is required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and clinical agency personnel.
  • Current understanding of associate degree nursing and pedagogical methodologies is preferred.
  • Experience in an urban community college environment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with distance learning modalities is preferred.
  • Conversational proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
