Job Opportunity

Passaic County Community College is seeking a dedicated and experienced faculty member to join our Computer and Information Sciences department. As a full-time tenure track professor, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational program of the college.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a variety of courses, including introductory and advanced Information Technology and Computer Science courses, to students with diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Develop and maintain a student-centered learning environment that promotes engagement and learning.
  • Participate in assessment activities to support the college's institutional effectiveness program.
  • Collaborate with department colleagues to develop and implement curriculum.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
  • Higher education teaching experience, with a preference for community college experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Computer Science and Information Technology subjects, including Cloud Computing, Networking and Security, Web and Mobile Development, Database and Programming.
  • Experience with Data Science and Artificial Intelligence is a plus.
  • Ability to teach courses incorporating different modalities, concurrently or remotely via Zoom.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
