Passaic County Community College is seeking a highly qualified full-time faculty member to join our esteemed Nurse Education program. This tenure-track position offers a unique opportunity to teach medical surgical nursing in an Associate Degree Nursing program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum for the Nurse Education program
  • Select and supervise student learning experiences
  • Lecture on courses and instruct students in the clinical area
  • Provide students with guidance and support for retention and success
  • Assist with the development of course materials
  • Participate in policy-making committees
  • Communicate with nursing service personnel
  • Participate in faculty and staff selection
  • Maintain professional competence through ongoing education and practice
  • Participate in college and community activities
  • Assist in faculty orientation
Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in nursing is required, Doctorate preferred
  • RN license or eligible in the State of New Jersey
  • Qualified to teach Medical Surgical nursing
  • Certified in area of specialty desirable
  • Three years' experience in clinical nursing practice within the specialty
  • Collaborates with colleagues and personnel in clinical agencies
  • Current knowledge of associate degree nursing and teaching methodologies
  • Previous experience in an urban community college setting

The selected candidate will be required to undergo a background check.
