Job Title: Direct Support Professional II

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional II to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional II, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional II will provide person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to advocacy, empowerment, and community integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily routines that support the individual's goals and needs.
  • Assist with personal care, including grooming, bathroom needs, and meal preparation.
  • Support the individual in participating in leisure activities, socializing with peers, and visiting family and friends.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with administrators, family members, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in caregiving, preferably supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses.
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2) and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid California Driver's License.
