Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our kitchen team at Flower Child. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of food items using kitchen equipment and following recipes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
  • Portion product and follow recipes to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Work calmly and effectively in a high-volume environment, meeting production deadlines and maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant.
Requirements
  • 1+ year of high-volume restaurant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Eye for detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Availability to work weekends and some holidays.
  • Ability to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant.
