Job Title: Product Quality Engineer

At Fuyao Glass America, we are seeking a highly skilled Product Quality Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for advancing product quality planning in the New Product Development phase, controlling new product quality before SOP+3 months, and verifying new products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in customer drawing and technical specification review and examination, defining special customer requirements.
  • Establish new product quality standards and detection and test specifications according to internal control quality standards.
  • Prepare new product quality targets based on customer requirements and company profit plans.
  • Organize existing evaluation of new product test and detection capability and prepare improvement plans.
  • Control new product quality before SOP+3 months by participating in design of new product test and detection plans, verifying detection and test capability, and organizing process capability studies.
  • Verify new products by working with Quality Verification Engineers to develop PV testing plans and tracking implementation.
  • Solve and improve quality problems by handling quality problems, customer complaints, and returns of goods during new product development and SOP+6 months.
Requirements:
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin.
  • Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Experienced in quality engineer area.
  • Bachelor degree or above, preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, turn at the waist, reach, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more.
  • Three-dimensional vision and ability to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing software, manufacturing principles, and technological processes of automotive glass.
  • Familiarity with TS16949 quality management system, ISO14001, and OHSAS18001 quality systems.
  • Ability to solve problems systematically, work under pressure, and lead teams.
