Position Details
Compensation:
$20.00 per hour, paid WEEKLY with DailyPay options and full-time benefits.
Applicants must possess a concealed weapons permit and have a minimum of 1 year of security experience.

Our Bank Protection Officers play a vital role in fulfilling our mission to 'service, secure, and care for the people and businesses in our communities.' They serve as a visible deterrent to crime and violations of client rules, identifying and reporting any suspicious, unsafe, or criminal activities at or near their assigned locations that may threaten property, clients, guests, or employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality security services to safeguard individuals and property.
- Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons.
- Document safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.
- Uphold order and enforce regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and premises.
- Monitor closed-circuit television systems and alarms; report any safety concerns and security breaches.
- Familiarize yourself with site-specific operational manuals and post orders.
- Meet and maintain all applicable state, county, and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Armed Security Officers.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with client employees and guests.
- Assist guests and employees with inquiries; answer phones or greet individuals in a professional manner.
- Conduct patrols of the facility on foot or in a vehicle.
- May be required to work for multiple clients at various locations, covering special projects, call-offs, vacations, and open shifts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; must be at least 21 years of age.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be necessary prior to employment.
- Ability to obtain a valid Guard License as required in the state of application, maintain current active status of all required licenses, and carry the license while on duty.
- Free training is provided for hires who do not possess a card/license.
- Must have a current state driver's license, a clean driving record (no points in the last 3 years), and meet minimum insurance requirements as per company policy.
- Applicants will undergo a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Ability to handle both routine and crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
- Professional demeanor with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative wireless technology at client-specific sites.
- Highly organized with a strong commitment to compliance and integrity in enforcing policies.
- Ability to prepare reports and comprehend all operating procedures and instructions.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use both hands, frequently required to stand, sit, stoop, talk, and hear (communicate verbally in person and via telephone), and must be able to read computer screens, correspondence, and reports in English.
The employee must constantly walk, stand, reach with both hands and arms, and must be able to drive a vehicle. Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 40 pounds may be required.
May be required to climb stairs intermittently at client sites. Constant use of vision (correctable to normal levels) is necessary to observe, read, interact with the public and co-workers, and view security monitors; includes hand/eye coordination.
Work may occur in various environments, including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain, or heat. Must be able to focus and multitask in a busy environment, effectively managing stressful situations.
Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and situations is essential. Must be able to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
