Job Summary

Milliken & Company is a global manufacturing leader seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical maintenance on all plant equipment, troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and controls issues, and installing new equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical equipment, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and controls issues, and repair or replace as needed.
  • Install new equipment, including running conduit and wiring.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Other Responsibilities

  • Follow all established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Operate various shop equipment, including lathes, milling machines, welders, and saws.
  • Responsible for maintaining, changing, and cleaning filter media in HVAC equipment.
  • Check and maintain water treatment chemicals.
  • Maintain, change, and repair pumps, fans, and motors as needed.
  • Maintain housekeeping and organization of materials in the assigned work area.
  • Document and communicate work completed through a computerized work management system.

Requirements

  • Previous electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a textile-related industry.
  • Ability to read and write, and possess good communication skills.
  • Basic math and computer skills required.
  • Ability to climb stairs, push, pull, bend, and kneel frequently.

Working Conditions

This is a straight first shift position, Monday through Friday. Schedule may vary based on plant opportunities. Weekend work may be required.
