Position Overview
Husson University's College of Science and Humanities is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position in Exercise Science. This role is integral to the development of a dynamic and expanding program that attracts a significant number of students annually.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about contributing to a robust educational framework that empowers students to pursue advanced degrees or secure professional roles in the field.
This position will enhance the existing faculty expertise within the Department of Science, which also offers undergraduate programs in Health Sciences, Biology, and Pre-Medicine.
The Exercise Science program features two distinct tracks, preparing students for both the Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program and a professional development pathway in Exercise Science.

Husson University is a private institution with a vibrant community of approximately 3,500 students. Key Responsibilities
The primary duties of this role include:
- Teaching undergraduate courses in Exercise Science, including biomechanics and motor learning.
- Engaging in local outreach initiatives to support the establishment of an exercise science sports testing institute.
- Advising students on career opportunities and managing senior capstone projects, including research and internships.
- Participating in faculty responsibilities such as teaching, advising, service, and scholarship as per university guidelines.
The position entails teaching a total of 24 credits per academic year, with potential for additional opportunities.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess an earned doctorate (ABD considered) in Exercise Science or a closely related field, along with a strong dedication to undergraduate education. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to develop and lead research initiatives that engage students in practical applications of exercise science.
Preferred Experience: Previous teaching experience in areas such as strength and conditioning, exercise for special populations, nutrition, exercise physiology, motor behavior, and exercise testing is highly desirable.
