The Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Staff Price/Cost Analyst - Level 5 to join our growing team of diverse professionals.

This position is located in Melbourne, Florida with teleworking available.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the Price/Cost Analysis of major Subcontracts and General Procurement cost proposals in support of ongoing activities as well as prime proposal activities.


Key Responsibilities:
Support the Price/Cost Team in both prime and supplier acquisitions.
Develop cost models to facilitate supplier proposal analysis and negotiation efforts.

Engage with suppliers and assess their operations to identify factors influencing prices, conducting cost analysis and audits of supplier proposals for reasonableness.

Collaborate with engineers to integrate technical evaluations into cost analysis when necessary.

Compile data and formulate an objective cost analysis position to support ongoing procurements and/or the Supply Chain prime proposal cost estimate.

Prepare Price/Cost Analysis Reports (PCAR) and presentations summarizing evaluation reviews.
Summarize evaluation findings and provide recommendations to Global Supply Chain (GSC) Business Management and Program Management. Offer negotiation support throughout the subcontract definition process.

Evaluate Supplier proposals for compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15 Table 15-2 requirements and prepare comprehensive written supplier Price/Cost Analysis Reports (PCARs) detailing and assessing the suppliers' price/cost proposals.

Participate in fact-finding sessions via telecom or at supplier's site.
Request and obtain DCAA Assist Audits where applicable.
Establish supplier proposed vs. negotiation objective positions by major cost elements to attain formal Supply Chain Management approval for supplier negotiations.
May participate in supplier negotiations.
Maintain all records and supporting data utilized in proposal support.

Conduct market research, analyze historical data, and develop cost estimating models and factors to assess price reasonableness and formulate negotiation positions.

Support the reviews and evaluation of Subcontractor claims of "Commerciality" and Commercial Item Determinations based on Market Research and supplier support.

Assist GSC pricing and estimating activities during both the proposal phase and post-award execution.

Perform cost estimating/pricing duties and analysis in accordance with recognized industry best practices, specific solicitation, and customer requirements, ensuring full compliance with USG regulatory requirements.

Prepare and support the presentation and approval of material estimates at the required value level as part of the proposal team.

Support Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) Proposal and Estimating System Audits and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Purchasing System Audits as required.

Provide Make/Buy Analysis Support.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 5:

Bachelor's degree with 15 years of related price/cost experience, or a Master's degree with 13 years of related price/cost experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Specifically Excel and Word).
Ability to apply appropriate cost accounting, pricing, and estimating methods, concepts, and principles.
Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, Global Supply Chain or Project Management.
Working knowledge of SAP and ability to analyze historical job cost actuals.

Ability to work as an integral member of the Subcontract/Procurement team to achieve Global Supply Chain objectives, meet deadlines in a challenging, multi-tasking environment, while maintaining compliance during all stages of the proposal/acquisition process.

Familiarity with the concept and application of Cost Improvement Curves.
Working knowledge of government contract environment (FAR and DFARS).

Salary Range:
$117,800 - $176,600


The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
