Job Title: Structural Analysis Engineer

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team of experts in Melbourne, Florida.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented engineer to perform static, dynamic, and DaDT structural analyses of metallic and composite airframe structures, mechanical systems, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace structural analysis and experience with tools such as FEMAP, NX, and Teamcenter.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural analyses of airframe structures, mechanical systems, and equipment
  • Ensure designs meet program requirements and are optimized for weight, cost, and quality
  • Derive non-flight applied loads, create, extract, and distribute internal loads, and perform weight and stiffness optimization
  • Collaborate with team members to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results
  • Analyze complex problems and develop solutions
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 5 years' experience in aerospace structural analysis
  • Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 3 years' experience in aerospace structural analysis
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to start of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Structural analysis experience in airframe, crew systems, subsystems, and/or structural integrity
  • Active, in-scope DoD Secret clearance or higher

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $92,600 - $139,000, with the potential for a discretionary bonus.
