Senior Principal Analysis/Architect Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Analysis/Architect Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, FL. The successful candidate will have a strong background in hydraulic system design and development, with a focus on aircraft applications.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop hydraulic systems for aircraft applications, including trade studies, layouts, and architecture definition.
- Perform system-related analysis, such as performance simulation, to support the development of hydraulic subsystems.
- Plan, execute, and verify system-level tests, including data processing and troubleshooting.
- Evaluate system-level requirements to ensure airworthiness criteria are met.
- Participate in internal program, customer, and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews.
- Bachelor of Science in a related STEM discipline and 8 years of relevant experience; OR MS in a related STEM discipline and 6 years of relevant experience.
- Must have professional experience related to the development and integration of hydraulic systems in either commercial or military aircraft applications.
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment.
- Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with focus on thermodynamic, fluid mechanic, and/or heat transfer disciplines.
- Experience with aircraft subsystem development, with requirements definition, specification development, component analysis, procurement, source selection, integration, and test and verification for advanced aircraft.
- Experience performing thermodynamic, fluid mechanic, and/or heat transfer analysis related to military/commercial aircraft and subsystems.
- Experience modeling fluid systems utilizing Amesim, MATLAB/Simulink, Thermal Desktop, Flomaster, and/or STAR-CCM+ software.
- Experience with the military airworthiness certification process using MIL-HDBK-516.
- Experience interpreting component detail drawings, specifications, installation drawings, and test procedures.
- Experience in supporting pursuits and proposals, including generating, reviewing, and approving technical proposals and BOEs.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership related to integrated product teams, including supplier and customer (internal and external) relations.

Salary Range: $114,900 - $172,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
