Security Operations Coordinator

Position Overview:
The Assistant Facility Security Officer plays a critical role in overseeing and managing sensitive elements of security protocols within the Department of Defense (DoD) or related industrial security frameworks. This position is essential for ensuring adherence to both governmental and organizational security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate security measures for sensitive programs, ensuring compliance with established policies.
- Conduct briefings on security matters that require a high level of confidentiality.
- Facilitate and manage security training initiatives for personnel.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for upper management and external security agencies.
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in managing security protocols for sensitive programs, particularly within the DoD.
- Familiarity with DoD security systems and databases, including DISS.
- Understanding of relevant regulations such as Title 32 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
- Possession of a Top Secret security clearance.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and self-motivation.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying tasks and responsibilities as required.
- Exceptional judgment, decision-making, and teamwork abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Completion of the DCSA or CDSE Facility Security Officer Program Management for Possessing Facilities Course.
Clearance Requirements:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Top Secret clearance is mandatory.
